Nigerian and Chelsea midfielder, John Obi Mikel, has been ruled out of Tuesday night's UEFA Champions League clash between his club and French giants - Paris Saint Germain.
Mikel was conspicuously missing in training on Monday as his Chelsea teammates rounded off preparations before they set out to Paris for the crucial Round of 16 tie against PSG.
According to information on Chelsea's official website, Mikel was yet to fully recover from a knock on his knee which he copped in the win against Aston Villa few weeks back.
The Nigeria international was also unavailable against Everton as he continue d to recover from the knee problem.
Meanwhile, it is not looking any better for PSG ahead of the tie against Chelsea following the multiple injury blows suffered by the French giants over the weekend.
PSG coach Laurent Blanc will be growing grey hairs following injury concerns for both Yohan Cabaye and Marquinhos who had to be taken off in Saturday's Ligue 1 clash against Caen.
Also Serge Aurier could not complete the game either as he limped off the pitch in the 71st minute, before Lucas joined him on the sidelines with a groin problem.
All the four players are likely to miss out on Tuesday while Javier Pastore is also doubtful with a thigh injury.
