Arsenal are set to outbid Manchester United to seal the pre-contract signing of Dani Alves, UK’s Metro reports via Fichajes.net. Alves, who is out of contract with Barcelona at the end of the season, is set to leave the Catalan club.
The Gunners and United have both held talks with his agent over a deal, and the Red Devils had looked favourites to do business with a £15.6million contract offer put on the table. But claims in Spain suggest Arsenal will outbid United with a higher weekly wage in order to seal the deal. Alves can sign the contract at any point and would arrive at the Emirates Stadium in the summer.
